Ingredients
Instructions
- Using all the eggs, separate the yolk from the egg white.
- Place the egg yolks in a big bowl then beat them using a fork or an egg beater.
- Add the condensed milk and mix thoroughly.
- Pour-in the fresh milk and Vanilla. Mix well.
- Put the mold (llanera) on top of the stove and heat using low fire.
- Put in the granulated sugar on the mold and mix thoroughly until the solid sugar turns into caramel with a light brown color. Note: Sometimes it is hard to find a Llanera (Traditional flan mold) depending on your location. I find it more convenient to use individual Round Pans in making leche flan.
- Spread the caramel evenly on the flat side of the mold.
- Wait for 5 minutes, then pour the egg yolk and milk mixture on the mold.
- Cover the top of the mold with aluminum foil.
- Steam the mold with the egg and milk mixture for 30 to 35 minutes.
- After steaming, let cool then refrigerate.
- Serve for dessert. Share and Enjoy!

Recipe Websites
Delish - Delish uses very large images and selective color (teal and yellow) to create visual interest and engage the user's exploration through the site. Within individual recipes, the margins shift to create a space to display ingredients and other information.
Bon Appetit - Bon Appetit generally opts for smaller scale and wider space between elements, while also using yellow to highlight certain elements. For most pages, the main content is organized in a single vertical column.
NYT Cooking - NYT Cooking uses red to emphasize certain elements, and colored tags for certain attributes related to recipes. On the home page, horizontal scrolls are implemented to explore within individual categories.
Non-Recipe Websites
PSYOP - PSYOP is a creative agency, so their site is naturally designed to showcase their creative work front-and-center. Each piece of content reacts to the cursor hovering over it. Within the PSYOP site is The PSYOP Drop, which is essentially their blog for recent works, and it is an extremely dynamic page which animates and reacts in unexpected ways to scrolling and hovering actions.
VICE - VICE is a site laid out to engage the user in various articles and videos. It primarily uses a 3-column structure that periodically modulates to emphasize certain content. Everything is kept minimalistic and with clean lines, allowing the content itself to take the most prominence.
ACRONYM - ACRONYM is a fashion brand with a very different website than other typical brands. Both on the home page and the pages for individual pieces, elements react to hovering by showing more information or showing different images.
